- Decimal: 1.25
- Fractional: 1/4
- American: -400 (you need to bet 400 to win 100)
- Return on a ৳500 bet: ৳625 (profit ৳125).
For a multi bet, the odds of each selection are multiplied together. If three selections have decimal odds of 1.50, 1.70 and 1.80, the combined odds are 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.59 (approximately). Return on a ৳100 bet is ৳459 — but if any one of the three is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Betting During a Match — How In-Play Betting Works
In-play or live betting lets you place bets after the match has started. Odds update automatically after every ball, wicket and over.
Say Team A is not scoring freely in the first innings — 30 runs in 5 overs — Team B's odds will shorten because they are becoming the favourite. Betting on Team A now gives you longer odds because the risk is higher.
Then if Team A suddenly hits 30 runs in one over during a powerplay, the odds change in an instant. In-play betting therefore requires focus and the ability to make quick decisions.
When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds generally lengthen (they become weaker) and the bowling team's odds shorten. In T20, the final overs see the most odds movement.
